This crochet summer headband is crafted with worsted-weight yarn. Feel free to choose any category 4 yarn you prefer. My samples are made of a cotton-acrylic blend, but I've also created this headband with both 100% cotton yarn and acrylic yarn, and they both looked wonderful! You'll need about 30-45 yards of yarn for this project, making it an excellent way to use up leftover yarn!

Supplies:

-Any medium (4) Weight Yarn (approx 30 to 45 yards)

-5mm hook

-Measuring Tape

-Scissors

-Yarn needle

Helpful Tips Before You Start

Before you dive into the pattern, here are a few tips to help your Starry Ridge Summer Headband come out smooth, even, and beautifully textured. The star stitch and 3rd-loop techniques look intricate, but they’re much easier once you see them in action. Below, you’ll find step-by-step photo instructions to guide you through both stitches, along with a few helpful notes to make your crocheting experience even simpler.

sc 3rd Loop

To work a sc 3rd Loop of hdc, work sc in the loop (also known as the horizontal bar) under

The V of the hdc sts

Do not work into the top of the st. Instead, rotate your work

to face you, and work a sc in the loop under the V of the hdc
