The Starry Ridge Headband has a soft, snowy texture that really pops in winter yarns. The star stitch gives it that delicate, twinkling look — almost like tiny snowflakes stitched together — while still feeling light, flexible, and incredibly comfortable. The finished piece has a clean, seamless appearance and a gentle stretch that hugs the head without slipping or feeling too tight. It’s cozy, textured, and has that handmade charm everyone loves during the colder months.
Crocheters made this headband say it’s “super fast,” “relaxing once the stitch clicks,” and “perfect for gifting or selling at markets.”

📏 Sizing + Fit Notes
The Starry Ridge Headband pattern includes 9 sizes, ranging from newborn to large adult, so you can make the perfect fit for anyone. Each size is designed with just the right amount of negative ease (stretch) to ensure a snug, comfortable feel that stays in place without being too tight.
Because head sizes and preferences vary, I’ve included a full size chart below with finished measurements and recommended age ranges. If you prefer a looser or tighter fit, you can easily adjust your starting chain or row count while keeping the stitch multiple of 2 the same.

Sewing The Headband Together
Lay the piece flat with the wrong side facing down and the right side facing up. Bring both short ends toward the center so they meet in the middle. (You will now be working on the wrong side of the headband.)
Fold each end in half to create four layers, aligning the edges neatly. “Sandwich” the layers together and sew across the edge, working through all four layers to secure the seam. Fasten off and weave in ends. Flip right side out.
